Rail Mounted Container Gantry Crane
Rail mounted container gantry crane (RMG) are container loading and unloading equipment that runs on rails. They are mainly used in ports, railway freight yards and container yards for container loading, unloading, handling and stacking operations.which can effectively improve the efficiency and safety of container stacking, handling and sorting.
The rail mounted container gantry crane (RMG) consists of a main girder, rigid and flexible gantry legs, traveling trolley, hoisting mechanism, crane traveling mechanism, electrical system, and operator cab. Based on yard operation requirements, it can be configured as a single-cantilever or double-cantilever model by extending the cantilever in the single-leg or double-leg direction, or as a cantilever-free model without extension. The selection of cantilever-free, single-cantilever, or double-cantilever configurations is determined by site conditions, container storage/handling processes, and the type of vehicles (container trucks or rail cars) used for loading/unloading.
Wide span (20–50m): Covers “6+1” or “7+1” lanes for maximum yard use.
High-strength beams: Box or truss double-beam, FEA optimized, wind resistance ≥10.
Automated operation: OCR recognition + laser ranging + PLC, unmanned stacking 20–35 boxes/hour.
Dual spreader: Handles 1×40ft or 2×20ft, ±5° fine rotation, millimeter accuracy.
