C Type Hook C Coil Lifter Forging Steel C Hook

A C-type spreader is a type of lifting equipment shaped like the letter "C" and is designed for horizontal lifting of rolled sheet materials such as steel and aluminum coils. Its main structure is a box-shaped cross-section constructed of low-alloy steel plates and steel pipes, combining bending and torsion resistance with lightweight features. Counterweights are used to adjust the balance, ensuring alignment between the center of gravity of the spreader and the load being lifted. This equipment is widely used in steel production, warehousing, stacking, transportation, and loading and unloading, with a maximum load capacity of 100 tons. Custom designs are available to meet diverse operating requirements.

Structure and composition

  1. Hoist body: Crafted from low-alloy steel plates and steel pipes welded into a box-shaped structure, it combines high strength with lightweight design, capable of withstanding combined stresses such as bending and torsion.
  2. Counterweight: Adjusting the weight distribution ensures the center of gravity of the hoist and the coil is coaxial, ensuring stable lifting.
  3. Rotating mechanism: Regular cleaning and lubrication are required to prevent dry friction and jamming.

Type classification

  1. Single Coil Lifter: A standard C-shaped hook suitable for lifting a single coil. It's primarily used for coil handling, tempering, warehouse storage, stacking, and transportation and loading/unloading.
  2. Double Coil Lifter: Available in three sizes: double eye, sleeve, and single eye, it can simultaneously lift two coils or wire rod.
  3. C-Type Lifter: Used for horizontal lifting of coils, it primarily consists of a lifting body and counterweight. The lifting body features a box-type structure, offering resistance to bending and torsion.

Use and maintenance of C hooks

  • Storage Conditions: After use, store in a well-ventilated, dry area. Perform regular rust prevention and avoid contact with chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and salts, as well as high temperatures.
  • Regular Inspections: Clean rotating parts regularly and apply lubricant regularly to prevent dry friction and jamming.
  • Safe Operation: Do not allow personnel to be underneath the hoisted object during lifting.
